Movieverse is a collection of websites built for fictional organisations from some of my favourite films. Rather than creating fan sites or tributes, I wanted to explore a different question: if these places really existed, what would their websites look like today? From Isla Nublar and Cyberdyne Systems to Seahaven, Amity Island and Walley World, every project imagines life beyond the events of the film and treats each world as though it were completely real.
Every website began by identifying the organisation’s problem before designing a believable solution. That meant looking at the real world for inspiration, whether that was luxury travel, tourism, e-commerce, public services or corporate technology. Once that foundation was in place, I could begin layering in details from each film’s universe—sometimes obvious, often subtle—to create experiences that reward people who know the source material without excluding those who don’t.
Although Movieverse is a bit of a passion project, it showcases the way I approach design professionally. Research comes first, followed by structure, content, branding, interaction and storytelling. I enjoy building websites that feel like they own the world they represent from top to bottom, where the smallest details support the bigger picture. Movieverse gave me the freedom to apply that process and extend the world-building around some of my favourite movies.
