Terms of Use

Last updated: 30th November, 2025

Luke Dunsmore Labs is a collection of small, experimental tools, generators, visualisers, and code helpers available at LukeDunsmore.com. These Terms of Use explain how you may access and use these tools.

By using any Labs tool, you agree to the rules below.

What the Lab Tools Are

The Labs section provides simple, lightweight utilities — things like code generators, previewers, converters, or interactive widgets. They’re designed for experimentation, inspiration, and quick problem-solving.

They’re not production software, not guaranteed to be accurate, and not a replacement for professional advice.

Permitted Use

You may:

  • Use any tool for personal or commercial projects
  • Copy/paste code generated by them
  • Bookmark, share, or link to the tools
  • Use them as inspiration in your own work

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Rehost or resell the tools as your own
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with the functionality
  • Use the tools in any unlawful or harmful way

All content, design, and logic remain my intellectual property unless a tool explicitly states an open-source licence.

Accuracy & Reliability

The Labs tools are provided as-is. While I do my best to make them helpful:

  • results may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect
  • code snippets may need adjustments to work in your environment
  • tools may be updated, changed, or removed without notice
  • browser behaviour and device support may vary
  • data you input is processed in your browser unless the page states otherwise

Always sanity-check the output before using it in a live project.

No Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, I make no representations or guarantees that:

  • any tool will be error-free
  • the site will be available at all times
  • generated code will be suitable for your specific use case
  • the tools will remain online indefinitely

They’re experiments — fun ones, useful ones, but still experiments.

Liability

By using the Labs tools, you accept that you do so at your own risk.

I’m not responsible for:

  • loss of data
  • broken projects
  • downtime caused by code you pasted
  • incorrect calculations or conversions
  • financial loss, business disruption, or indirect damages of any kind

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Embedded or Third-Party Elements

Some tools may link to external services (e.g. GitHub repos, docs, APIs). I’m not responsible for external content, uptime, or security.

If a tool pulls data from a third-party API, availability, accuracy, or rate-limits are outside of my control.

Privacy

Most Labs tools run entirely in your browser and do not store your input. If a tool behaves differently (for example, one requiring server-side processing), the page will state this clearly.

See the site’s Privacy Policy for how your data is handled in general.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. When they change, your continued use of the Labs tools indicates acceptance of the updated version.
