Bio Cringe is a tongue-in-cheek web app that celebrates the weird, wonderful world of internet self-branding. It takes the overly polished “link in bio” format and turns it on its head—encouraging users to embrace their awkwardness, exaggerate their personalities, and craft bios that are as cringey as possible. Built as both a social satire and a genuine creative tool (mostly for people bored on their lunch break!), it’s designed to help people show their online selves with humour.
The project was built using modern web tooling—self-hosted infrastructure, clean front-end code, and a minimalist UI designed to keep the focus on the bios themselves (albeit with some obscene boldness of colour). Bio Cringe marked my first ever Product Hunt launch, earning attention for its blend of parody and practical design. Bio Cringe’s purpose as a demo tool is making tech that’s self-aware, user-empowering, and a bit mischievous.
